Experts from the Mizoram Secretariat Service and Mizoram Finance & Accounts Service delivered lectures on the following topics to the supporting staff of the Gauhati High Court, Aizawl Bench, and various District Judiciaries in Mizoram:
1. Relevant provisions of the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964, and the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1965.
2. Relevant provisions of the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972, the Mizoram Functional Filing Index, and other pertinent guidelines.
3. Relevant provisions of the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2021, the extant General Financial Rules, and the Delegation of Financial Powers Rules.
This program proved highly beneficial for the supporting staff in Mizoram, enhancing their understanding of relevant rules and regulations that govern their day-to-day court operations.

Notable presentations included Dr. Robert L. Khawlhring's discussion on "The Mental Healthcare Act, 2017: A Paradigm Shift in Psychological Care and Support" and Mrs. Maria Lalengmawii's insightful talk on "Addressing the Hidden Wounds: Mental Health Concerns of Victims of Sexual Offences." These enlightening sessions were delivered to a select group of esteemed participants, renowned in their respective localities.
(3) LEGAL AWARENESS SEMINAR ON MIZO MARRIAGE, DIVORCE AND INHERITANCE ACCORDING TO MIZO CUSTOMS AND PRACTICES

The gathering of stakeholders on Mizo customs and practices was formally inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Nelson Sailo, Judge of the Gauhati High Court and Chairman of the High Court Legal Services Committee (HCLSC), Aizawl Bench, as the Chief Guest. Hon'ble Mrs. Justice Marli Vankung, Judge, GHC, AB, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
The event featured insightful presentations on various aspects of Mizo customs and practices. Key Presentations:
(1) Imperatives and Perspectives of Mizo Marriage by Mr. C. Vanlallawma, Associate Professor (Retd.), Govt. Hrangbana College
(2) Grounds and Reasons of Divorce according to Mizo Customs and Practices by Prof. Rualkhuma Colney, Former Principal, Govt. Mizoram Law College
(3) Mizo Inheritance of Properties: Socio-Legal Issues by Mr. Zahmingthanga Ralte, Addl. Secy., Law & Judl. Deptt., Govt. of Mizoram
The discussions and deliberations that followed were highly productive, thanks to the expertise of the selected participants in the field.
(4) LEGAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON WOMEN AND CHILD RIGHTS & MIZO INHERITANCE LAWS
Date & Time : During March, 2025 (various localities of Aizawl)
Target group :
(i) Local dwellers (parents, youths) including women and children
(ii) Local leaders Viz. Members of Local Councils, YMA leaders, Church leaders etc.
As planned, programs were conducted in seven selected localities in Aizawl city, targeting grassroots-level communities that would greatly benefit from this ideal legal awareness initiative.
Two key topics were chosen:
1. Legal rights of women and children
2. Mizo Inheritance Law
In addition to presentations by legal experts, participants had the opportunity to raise and clarify local-level doubts and queries, receiving personalized guidance from the experts.
